MORE than £10,000 has been donated to help cover funeral costs for an Inverness family of four who were killed in a car accident.
Gemma Cousin (26), Rhys Cousin (25), Peyton Cousin (3), and Heidi Cousin (1) died in the accident on the A82 near Fort William on Thursday.
An online crowdfunding page has attracted donations and messages of support to relatives.
A photo montage of family memories is included in the fundraiser and has been viewed more than 5000 times.
Fundraising organiser Nikki Cartwright posted: "On February 20, our family had sadly lost Rhys, Gemma, Peyton and Heidi. A whole young family has been taken away from us.
"Just like any family they weren’t perfect but they still found perfect in every moment they spent together. A fun, crazy, loving couple who adored each other so much. Their family became three on January 7, 2017 when Peyton was brought into the world. Peyton then became a big sister to Heidi on December 22, 2018. Two beautiful princesses completed their family and those girls were their world and brought light in every struggle they faced. They were all kind and happy individuals who were loved by everyone who met them and will be sorely missed.
"A tragic accident has taken them all away from us and now all that’s left is memories and photos which will be cherished forever. Nothing will fill the hole left in our hearts we are all absolutely devastated and struggling to come to terms with it. To ease the burden of costs for a funeral for our Rhys, Gemma, Peyton and Heidi we have set up this page.
"We would appreciate any small donations to funeral costs as we know the Cousin and Davidson family would greatly appreciate this and we can give them a really special send off that they deserve.
"We also send our love and thoughts to the emergency services who had to attend the scene and thank them for everything they did to help and are continuing to do."
