There's a new episode of the Active Outdoors podcast available, in which John Davidson is running from train station to train station on a 20-mile stretch of the Speyside Way.

The long-distance route has been extended at its southern end, with new paths, upgrades and signage connecting Aviemore to the new terminus at Newtonmore.

It is due to be officially launched in the spring, but Active Outdoors headed to the Cairngorms to check out the route on a recent snowy day.

Hear John as he runs the route with regular updates from the trail.

The Active Outdoors podcast is available here as well as from your usual podcast provider including Spotify, Apple and Google.
