MACRURY - Peacefully, on Wednesday, 16th November, 2022 at the Royal Northern Infirmary, John MacRury, 24 Oakwood Court, Inverness, aged 86 years. Originally from Benbecula, Uist. Beloved husband of Jean, most loving father to Iain, Kay and the late Calum, father-in-law to Laura and Ben, devoted grandpa to Leith, Charlotte and Gracie and step-grandpa to James, a good friend of many. After a dedicated career in Fleet Street, London, with Press Association, and raising his family, he returned to Inverness in 1987. Funeral service on Friday, 2nd December, 2022, at 12.30pm, in the funeral home of William T. Fraser and Son, Culduthel Road, Inverness; thereafter, to Kilvean Cemetery.
