BENNIE - Peacefully, in hospital, on Monday, 24th October, 2022, Rev. Stanley James Gordon Bennie, beloved son of Archibald and Louisa Bennie (both deceased), dear brother of Douglas Bennie, uncle of Angela Burgess and great-uncle of Grace Burgess. Fr Stanley served in the Scottish Episcopal Church from 1968, and from 1984 as Rector of St Peter's, Stornoway. In 2012 he was ordained a Catholic priest through the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham. A requiem mass will be offered on Monday, 7th November, 2022, at 11.00am, at St Mary's Catholic Church, 30 Huntly Street, Inverness IV3 5PR; with the burial in Sandwick Cemetery, Stornoway, on Tuesday, 8th November, 2022, at 3.30pm. All friends invited. Family flowers only but, if desired, donations can be made to the British Heart Foundation at the service or to D.
