WILKIE - Janice, Owen and Blair wish to express our sincere thanks to relatives, neighbours and all our friends and colleagues for the support and sympathy shown to us prior to and in the loss of a wonderful husband and dad. Special thanks to S.F.R.S. (Scottish Fire and Rescue Service), especially John Macdonald and Alex McKinley for the beautiful fitting tributes to Derek and for ongoing support to us. You did him proud and we will be eternally grateful. Special thanks to all NHS staff involved in Derek's care, in particular ITU staff who cared for him with such tenderness and were exceptional in their efforts to keep Derek with us. In such unprecedented times the compassion and support shown to us was a great comfort and will never be forgotten. Special thanks to Rev. Derek Brown for guidance and support. His uplifting service captured Derek as we all know and love him. Finally grateful thanks to John Fraser & Son, Chapel Street, Inverness for guidance and excellent funeral arrangements, especially Vicki Fraser and Drew Green for the compassion, sensitivity and empathy shown to us.
