Inverness Tang Soo Do's Laura Stewart crowned grand champion after dominant performance at Dutch Open Championships

Inverness Tang Soo Do athlete Laura Stewart had a phenomenal performance at the Dutch Open Championships last weekend.

The 21-year-old entered five categories and won a medal in all of them – winning gold in forms, bo staff and knife, taking silver in open weapons and bronze in sparring.

Going up against athletes from the Netherlands, Germany and the UK, the competition was fierce, but Stewart prevailed.

Her success across the board was even enough to earn her the title of the adult black belt grand champion, flying the flag impressively for both Inverness and Scotland overall.
