Today’s A9 crash in Badenoch involved four cars and left two people hospitalised.

All emergency services were called to the scene by Lynchat, half way between Kingussie and Kincraig, shortly after four o’clock this afternoon.

A Police Scotland spokesperson has updated the Strathy this evening.

“Around 4.05pm, police received a report of a four-car crash on the A9 near Kingussie.

“Two people were taken to hospital for treatment and emergency services remain at the scene. “The road is currently closed, with local diversions in place.”

Traffic Scotland also advised that the A9 at Lynchat remains closed and that motorists should follow the diversion and expect longer than normal journey times.
