Highland rockers Mànran have announced the cancellation of its winter tour dates.

Saying that many of their colleagues will be forced to do the same, they said it was time to put the safety of their fans and and loved ones first.

The band were due to play Strathpeffer on December 28 with Blazin' Fiddles, as well as gigs in Aberdeen, Killin, Oban, Stirling and Portree.

In a post on Facebook, a spokesman said: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we have made the decision to reschedule our Scottish Winter Dates. We know that over the next few days many of our colleagues will be forced to do the same.

"While we all wish we could be out performing again, we have to put your safety and the safety of all our loved ones first.

"We’ll update you all as soon as we have confirmed the new 2022 dates.

"Stay safe, Mànran x."
