A Drumnadrochit man who was involved in a collision with another vehicle on the A82 was traced by police later the same day when he admitted he had been driving.

This led to Alexander MacDonald-Haig (41) appearing at Inverness Sheriff Court where he admitted driving with a blood alcohol count of 55 mcgs when the legal limit is 22 mcgs on August 27 last year.

Sheriff Gary Aitken deferred sentence for MacDonald-Haig to be assessed as to his suitability for being placed under a drug treatment and testing order.
