Accident south-west of Loch Ness partially blocks A87 between Invergarry and route to Skye

A car is partially blocking the A87 road west of Fort Augustus after an accident earlier today.

CRASH UPDATE: One person taken to hospital

Emergency services including police and one fire crew attended what is believed to have been a one-vehicle incident between Bun Loyne and Invergarry.

It is not yet known if there were any casualties.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “We received the call to attend at 12.30 hours and one appliance was sent to the scene to assist.

“The crew were able to depart at 13.24 hours.”

A Traffic Scotland spokesman said: “The A87 is partially blocked at Glengarry due to a road traffic incident. Motorists are advised to approach with caution and expect longer than normal journey times.

Police Scotland have been approached for further details.
