Police Scotland officers in the Highlands arrest three people following large police response in South Kessock, Inverness

Three people have been arrested after a major police response in an Inverness neighbourhood last night.

A large number of police vehicles could be seen in the area of Kessock Court in South Kessock yesterday evening after officers responded to reports of “people acting suspiciously”.

Two people were charged in connection with possession of a knife, while a third was arrested over a road traffic offence.

A police spokesperson said: “We were called at around 7pm on Monday, June 10, to a report of people acting suspiciously in the Kessock Court area of Inverness.

“Officers attended and a 26-year-old woman and 35-year-old man were arrested in connection with being in possession of a bladed article. They will both be subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.

"A 43-year-old man was also arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and will be subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.”
