ScotRail: 'No more trains tonight' after train incident at Aviemore

ScotRail have confirmed that following suspension of trains earlier tonight the service had been restored on the Highland main line from Inverness to the central belt, but "no more services are running on this route tonight."
"Following a person being hit by a train earlier between Inverness and Kingussie all lines have now reopened," the company announced.
But disruption was still expected as investigations continued.
Following the incident just south of Aviemore shortly after 8pm rail traffic was suspended in both directions from the Highland capital to the central belt.
Customer advice issued tonight is for all travellers to check if a rail journey is currently possible.
"Use the National Rail Enquiries real-time journey planner to check if you can continue your journey by rail.
"Customers can travel on alternative routes and local public transport."
Edinburgh - Perth: "If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
"We have arranged for your rail tickets to be accepted on local bus routes at no extra cost.
"Click on the bus number for bus times."
Earlier tonight passengers were transferred to bus services to get around the Aviemore area while emergency services were in attendance.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Strathy: "As this was an incident on a rail line it is being dealt with by British Transport Police."
The BTP media centre did not respond to enquiries.
Details are still awaited regarding last evening's incident.
ScotRail have since announced that they sourced a Ratho bus at Perth to take any stranded passengers to Edinburgh.
"We have a second bus confirmed at Perth, provided by Ratho, which will take passengers to Queen St."
Other customers were asked to consider "travelling later".
"You might wish to consider postponing your journey until our service's return to normal.
"All lines have now re-opened, however no more services are running on this route tonight.
"Due to very limited replacement transport being secured, passengers are advised to consider making their own alternative arrangements."
