TV celebrities step aside, here are our young dance stars

PRIMARY school pupils have been?revelling in some glitz and glamour by? taking part in their own Strictly Come Dancing competition.

As part of the Active Schools programme, P6 youngsters from Bracoden, Macduff, Portsoy, Fordyce and Aberchirder took to the floor to perform two dances – the Merengue and Tango.

The classes receeived lessons over six weeks from David Robinson, a ballroom and Latin dance teacher based near Cornhill.

A total of 180 lined up and the winning?couple in the Merengue were Matthew James McKay and Amie West, from Bracoden Primary, ?and in the Tango, Travis Beattie and Natalie McDonald, from Banff Primary.
