Caley Thistle prospects will get chance next season
John Robertson says he will be looking to his young prospects to feature more prominently in the first team at Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Championship next season.
The manager says he is aiming to find two players for every position in his first team squad for the 2019/20 campaign.
Inverness showed faith in their youth system 12 months ago when they signed 10 youngsters to professional contracts.
Their faith was repaid when Caley Thistle won the Scottish under-18 performance tier league title guided under coach Barry Wilson.
And with several teenagers last season making the substitutes bench during the first team’s league campaign, Robertson is keen to make use of the young talent that is at the club.
He said: “We want to get two players for every position.
“But that will include players like Roddy MacGregor, Daniel Mackay, Cameron Harper and Matheus Machado. We expect loads more from them and to feature more in the first team next year.”
