Women called up for national shinty service

Four women from Inverness-shire clubs were called up for their country to represent Scotland in a development squad training match which took place in London.

Hazel Hunter and Donna Mackenzie from Glenurquhart Shinty Club along with Joanne Gillanders and Aoife Tangey from Glengarry Shinty Club were selected as part of an 18 strong squad which took part in the Scotland Development Squad match against British Camogie Select and England.

The event was to help identify potential Scotland stars of the future to compete at forthcoming international shinty/camogie matches against other countries.
