GOLF - Inverness-shire County Championship crowned after three way tie





David Joel claimed the Inverness-shire County Championship at Inverness Golf Club last Saturday.

In a close contest, Joel along with David Sanderson of Kings Golf Club and Kieran MacKay of Inverness Golf Club also finished on rounds of 69.

Joel took the title with a card play off with a better back nine with Sanderson taking second place with a better back nine compared to MacKay.

Joel claimed the £140 first prize along with trophy and silver medal.

In Handicap Division One, Matthew Smith took the title with a score of nett 67.

In Handicap Division Two, Steven MacKellaig of Kings Golf Club was crowned winner with a score of Nett 69.
