Dave Carson wants Highland to take a giant step tomorrow towards repeating last season’s promotion success by storming to victory against lowly Lasswade.

Beating the team from Bonnyrigg convincingly would reap five points, with just 11 now needed to make sure of promotion.

A second successive promotion would mean a jump to National One just a year after exiting National Three as champions.

On paper, it looks like a straightforward task for the Canal Park club who won 41-10 in Inverness in earlier in the season.

Carson, though, knows Lasswade are fighting for their lives in the relegation zone.

They sit five points from the foot of the table and six off Whitecraigs in safety.

A plucky performance against league leaders Biggar was warning enough for the Highland head coach.

“Every game now is massive,” Carson stressed.
