Win to make Porky proud, says Cross

A win against Biggar at Canal Park tomorrow would be the perfect way for Highland to honour Alisdair Wemyss, according to Rory Cross.

Highland coach Wemyss, known as Porky, sadly died last week.

That led to the postponement of last week’s match against Peebles, but they return to action this weekend against the league leaders.

It would already have been a huge match, with the result potentially having a big impact on the National Two title’s destination come the end of the season.

But under the circumstances Cross thinks it has become even more significant that Highland get a positive result.

“Obviously we’ve got our thoughts on Porky, who we sadly lost last week,” Cross said.
