Inverness are now out of the relegation zone as they moved up to eighth place following their 1-0 victory at bottom of the table Dumbarton on Saturday.

Alfie Bavidge scored the winner in injury time to move Inverness up to eighth place in the table on 29 points, two points ahead of Annan Athletic.

Inverness’ away support made up a large number of the 757 fans at the Marbill Coaches Stadium on Saturday.

Kellacher paid tribute to their backing not just on Saturday, but throughout the season.

He said: “They need to realise how big a part they are playing.

“They came down in mass numbers, they didn’t stop getting behind the boys.

“When they see the boys work as hard as they have today, they will get the rewards.”

Bavidge, who is on loan from Aberdeen since January, made it six goals in his nine matches for the club.

Kellacher paid tribute to the difference Bavidge has made to the team since he joined.

He said: “We wanted balls in the box and I wanted Charlie Telfer to shoot, but he laid it to Bav and he does what he does.

“He is in the right place and it is a great finish.”

Speaking about the match yesterday, Kellacher said: “The boys started the game really well. We couldn’t have started the game better and wanted a fast start. The frustrating part in the first half was we never took our chances as we played well.

“We created really good chances, played the surface great by playing in their final third and that was the frustrating part going in 0-0 at half time.

“In the second half, Dumbarton started the better side as we never carried on the momentum.

“They had a couple of chances and had a go at us. We got through that, the boys dug deep but the final pass and being in the right place never came together.

“But I can’t ask anymore of these boys. They give everything, if they work as hard as they are and they got it today.

“They got it with a 90th minute winner and I am delighted.”
