Such is the variety of his life at Clach these days, Sean Webb can easily find himself giving a player a half-time dressing down – and then a quick rub down.

The Lilywhites defender’s promotion to player/assistant manager has only heightened his usefulness to the Merkinch club in all manner of ways.

A trained physio by day, it is not unknown for Webb to set aside his own recovery time at the break to treat team-mates’ aches and strains.

But the 35-year-old former Northern Ireland international has accepted that the high demands placed on his shoulders are just part of life at a club where everyone mucks in.
