WATCH: Seventy7 Ventures’ Ketan Makwana speaks for the first time about bid to take over Inverness Caley Thistle

Ketan Makwana has spoken for the first time since his company, Seventy7 Ventures, was announced as having agreed a deal to become the new majority stakeholders at Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

In an exclusive chat with The Inverness Courier, Makwana insisted he was putting his “money where his mouth is” amid speculation about his position from outside the club.

He also touched on the immediate impact the deal could have on Duncan Ferguson’s side in the ongoing transfer window, saying that potential deals will be considered on a case-by-case basis despite the takeover being unlikely to be finalised until the end of August.

On top of that, Makwana has outlined part of his vision for Caley Thistle’s future, describing the potential for the club to become a “hotbed for events, activities, entertainment and leisure’ when the land around the Caledonian Stadium and the club comes under single ownership.
