Glass-Park received her winners medal from 10,000 metres Olympic finalist Megan Keith at the finish line and she said it made her win extra special.

She was also pleased to record a new personal best over the distance.

She said: “I’m very happy as my time is quite a bit faster than my previous best of 18:38 which I set here in Inverness in March.

“It was really good to hear Megan speaking to us before the start and to get my medal from her at the finish.”

Billy Sutherland from Ross County Athletics Club won the River Ness 5k men’s title.
