Inverness Athletic have been boosted by the return of key players for their Football Times Cup group match against Invergordon at the Recreation Grounds.

Athletic were down to the bare bones last weekend against St Duthus in Tain and only had one substitute, but caretaker manager Jason Golabek welcomes back Taylor Sutherland and Ben Hosie into the squad for tomorrow’s cup tie.

Golabek reports no injury worries ahead of Saturday’s tie, and also hopes to add further additions to his squad in time for the match.

Athletic must win if they are to have any chance of emerging from the group.

“It will be tough, but we are looking forward to the game,” said Golabek.

“It’s a cup tie and we are expecting an exciting match.”

The Easter Ross club go into the tie as strong favourites, but Invergordon boss Gary Campbell struck a note of caution.

“Inverness always give us a hard game, we don’t expect it to be any different on Saturday,” he said.

Invergordon will have to make do without Grant Beattie, Scott Houston and Kyle MacLean for the match, while Ken Morrison is an injury doubt.

South group leaders, St Duthus host Lewis and Harris in what should be an intriguing tie at Grant Park.

Golspie Sutherland welcome Orkney to King George V Park in the only league fixture of the day.
