Highland Cricket Club vice-captain Kacy Clement is delighted to have finally secured the Nosca title – and is now targeting a perfect season.
Last weekend’s 10-wicket victory over Ross County gave the Fraser Park side an unassailable lead at the top of the table.
It is Highland’s first senior league title since 2010, and the triumph comes with two games still to play in the current campaign.
Clement, who has starred at times this season with both bat and ball, is confident that they will be able to keep winning and make it 16 victories out of 16.
“I think it’s achievable for us,” 33-year-old Clement said.
“Especially when we have people like Irtaza Hussain and Sunny Ullah who are all fired up now and want to finish strongly, along with myself.
“Of course, none of us want to lose, but there’s a couple of guys who missed a couple of games through work or other reasons and they all want to be there until the end, they want to see it through."
