White has no doubts over Caley Thistle mental strength

Jordan White believes that the Caley Thistle squad are getting stronger mentally as the physical demands on them increase.

Tonight’s play-off semi final first leg against Dundee United will be Inverness’s third match in a week, and they will only have two days before having to travel to Tannadice for the second leg.

It is no secret that ICT are working with a smaller squad, with injuries to Carl Tremarco, Sean Welsh and Daniel Mackay being exacerbated by knocks to Brad McKay and Tom Walsh against Ayr United.

But despite the physical toll on the players, White says the potential prize of promotion is giving ICT a lot of confidence that they can extend their four-match undefeated run.

“It’s going to be a difficult one, Dundee United will be fresh, they will be looking to get a good result,” he said.

“They’ll be looking to do to us what we did to Ayr last Tuesday.

“We’ve got to stay strong, and make sure we’ll still in the tie and be confident we can go and win it."
