GOLF - Trio from clubs in Nairn along with players from Elgin, Moray, Reay, Thurso called up to play in North Squad at Edzell





THREE golfers from clubs in Nairn have been selected for the Scottish Golf North Squad for the Inter County Jamboree which starts on Saturday.

Nairn Golf Club members Sammy Fotheringham and Carinne Taylor along with Nairn Dunbar Golf Club member Iona Reid are three of nine women who will compete at the three-day competition which will take place at Edzell between Saturday and Monday.

Jenny Milne from Elgin will captain the squad with other players including Caitlin Boa and Cara Thompson from Royal Dornoch Golf Club.

Caithness golfers Laura Durrand from Thurso and Eleanor Tunn from Reay Golf Club are also in the squad along with Ellie Docherty from Moray Golf Club

North play Angus on Saturday, Perth and Kinross on Sunday and Aberdeenshire on Monday with foursomes each morning and singles taking place each afternoon.
