The Glen and Strathglass to contest Balliemore Cup semi finals

Glenurquhart and Strathglass will attempt to set up an Inverness-shire derby final in the Balliemore Cup.

In tomorrow’s semi finals, Glenurquhart face Fort William at Spean Bridge while Strathglass face Glasgow Mid Argyll at Kingussie.

National Division leaders Fort William beat Glenurquhart in a recent league match but the 3–2 margin victory suggests there is little to choose between the teams.

Arran MacPhee is the Fort William dangerman with 20 goals so far this season.

But James MacPherson has struck form for Glenurquhart, hitting eight goals in his last two matches.

Glasgow Mid Argyll are slight favourites to beat Strathglass based on league form. Strathglass showed good early season form in the cups however battling their way to the semi-final of the MacTavish Cup.

Cup action dominates the schedule as four Premiership sides are in quarter final action Camanachd Cup.
