John Robertson admits the return of Tom Walsh represents a massive boost to Caley Thistle’s promotion aspirations.

With nine matches to play – and three crucial fixtures looming within eight days – the availability of the club’s joint second top scorer after over a month is more than timely.

Ahead of tonight’s test against Partick Thistle at Firhill, Robertson confirmed the former Rangers and Dumbarton winger would be included in the travelling party.

Walsh scored the winner the last time Caley Thistle travelled to Firhill, but has not played since last month’s Scottish Cup replay against Ross County with a groin problem.

Robertson is delighted to see Walsh return, saying: “Having Tom Walsh back is massive.

“He is our second top goalscorer with Jordan White on 13 goals and Aaron Doran and Tom on nine."
