Captain to sit out Clach's Highland League opener





Captain Michael Finnis will miss Clachnacuddin’s opening game in the Highland League through suspension.

The defender is carrying a two-match ban from last season as he will miss tomorrow’s trip to Strathspey Thistle.

But manager Brian Macleod has no other worries as he looks for the Lilywhites to get their league campaign off to a winning start in Grantown.

Last season Strathspey finished two places above Clachnacuddin in 14th, their best ever finish in the Highland League.

Macleod believes they will be a tough team to beat tomorrow but is confident Clachnacuddin can get off to a good start.

"Strathspey have recruited well in the summer bringing in experienced Highland League players,” he said.
