Teenager Daniel Mackay says he still can’t quite believe that he broke into the Inverness Caledonian Thistle first team last season.

The 17-year-old made his debut in the Betfred Cup against Peterhead last October, but became a regular part of match day squads making 10 appearances.

Earlier this month he signed a three-year professional deal for his boyhood club and he says it still hasn’t quite sunk in.

"It’s still surreal for me to be honest. I keep going back and thinking has this happened? It’s been an unbelievable season for me."
