FORMER Inverness Caledonian Thistle striker Adam Brooks has agreed a deal to sign for League One rivals Queen of the South.

The 20-year-old, who was made redundant from the club last month as part of the administration process, has signed with the Dumfries club until the end of the season.

Brooks, who signed for Inverness Caledonian Thistle from Celtic in 2023, was one of four players who were made redundant by administrators BDO in October.

Brooks was made redundant along with Flynn Duffy, Wallace Duffy and Cameron Ferguson, with goalkeeper Jack Newman having his loan deal terminated as he returned to Dundee United.

Queen of the South manager Peter Murphy said he was delighted to capture Brooks’ signature.

He said: “We are delighted to have been able to secure Adams signature and add him to the squad.

“It was unfortunate what happed to him and Inverness but with injuries to our current front players it has the potential to work out really well for both parties.

“He has also played as an attacking midfielder so again gives the squad options. We look forward to working with him and welcome him on board for the rest of the season.”

Brooks is the third player who was made redundant at Inverness Caledonian Thistle last month to find a new club.

Flynn Duffy signed a deal to join Championship outfit Airdrieonians.

Wallace Duffy has signed a three-year deal with Highland League club Strathspey Thistle.
