Inverness Caledonian Thistle former striker Cameron Ferguson has signed for Connah’s Quay Nomads in Wales
FORMER Inverness Caledonian Thistle striker Cameron Ferguson has signed for Welsh Premier League club Connah’s Quay Nomads.
The 21-year-old, who was made redundant from Inverness Caledonian Thistle after the club went into administration in October, has made his debut for the club last weekend in a 1-0 win over Newtown.
Ferguson was one of four players who was made redundant when the club went into administration. Adam Brooks, Flynn Duffy and Wallace Duffy were also made redundant with Jack Newman seeing his loan deal terminated as he returned to Dundee United. All players have since found new clubs.
Cameron Ferguson is the son of former Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager Duncan Ferguson, who was also made redundant when the club went into administration in October.
Ferguson started his career at the Everton Academy before signing for Tranmere Rovers as part of their scholarship programme.
He would go on to join Newcastle United's U21 setup before playing in Scotland at Forfar Athletic and most recently Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
On his arrival at Connah’s Quay Nomads, Ferguson commented; "I'm really happy to join The Nomads. Everyone has been very welcoming and I'm keen to help out where I can for a big push to the end of the season."
Duncan Ferguson watched his son in action on his debut at Connah’s Quay Nomads and was interviewed on S4C show Sgorio.
