Ross Sutherland head coach John Mann believes the scoreline flattered Aberdeen Grammar 2nds last weekend – but he admits the Stags were not good enough to win.

Mann did not play but has since watched footage of the 43-17 defeat.

He says that from talking to others, and from what he saw himself, Ross Sutherland struggled with the basics too much.

“It wasn’t great, but the score is pretty flattering to Grammar,” Mann claimed.

“I watched the game back on Tuesday morning, and it was two really soft tries in the first five minutes, and then two really soft tries in the last 10. Apart from that it was pretty competitive."
