Shinty - Inverness, Beauly, Glenurquhart, Lovat and Strathglass all find out who they face in the MacTavish Cup first round





CLUBS have found out who they will face in the first round of the 2025 MacTavish Cup.

Lovat have been given a home draw as they will take on Strathpeffer outfit Caberfeidh in Kiltarlity.

Lovat are going into the 2025 campaign with a new head coach as Iain Nicolson has been appointed in charge.

Drumnadrochit outfit Glenurquhart will start their campaign against Inverness at Blairbeg Park.

Beauly have been given a tough task as they will travel to holders Kingussie who claimed a grand slam of trophies last year.

Cannich outfit Strathglass, who were promoted to the National Division after winning the North Division One title will host Kilmallie in the first round.

Skye will take on Newtonmore in Portree with Fort William, Kinlochshiel and Lochaber all receiving byes into the quarter final.

The draw took place at W M Donald’s head office in Stonehaven.

The final will return to Bught Park in Inverness, on Saturday June 14 as the refurbishment is set to be completed.

Last year’s final took place at Newtonmore while renovation works took place at Bught Park. Kingussie defeated Fort William 3-1.
