Billy Dodds continues to add to his Inverness Caley Thistle squad as Steven Boyd moves from Alloa Athletic to Highland capital

Inverness Caledonian Thistle have secured their second signing of the summer, with Steven Boyd the latest man to move to the Highland capital.

Following on from the announcement of Nathan Shaw's arrival, head coach Billy Dodds has secured the signing of former Alloa Athletic forward Steven Boyd has also signed on the dotted line at the Caledonian Stadium.

A Celtic youth product – where Boyd progressed through the age groups alongside Kieran Tierney – the 25-year-old made his senior debut with Hamilton Academical.

He made 45 appearances in the Premiership for Accies, scoring three goals, while also spending time out on loan at Albion Rovers and Livingston in League One and the Championship respectively.

After leaving New Douglas Park, Boyd had a brief spell with East Fife before spending 18 months in the North East with Peterhead.

Last season, Boyd moved to League One rivals Alloa Athletic, where he scored eight goals across 41 appearances in all competitions.
