Scotland internationals to help out at Northern Counties Cricket Club
Scottish international cricketers will visit Inverness this Saturday after a city club was picked to be featured as part of CricketForce 2019.
Players and Cricket Scotland officials will travel up to help Northern Counties Cricket Club carry out some renovations to their facility at Northern Meeting Park.
Club captain Shaun Thomas says the work put in this weekend can make the whole club more appealing for new players and fans.
“We’ll be looking at getting the kitchen, the tea room and all of our training facilities sorted out,” he explained.
“We’ll be looking to get the changing rooms painted and freshened up and looking good as well.
“We’ve got our store where we keep all of our equipment for the ground staff doing the pitches, so we’ll give that a tidy up.
“We’ll be looking to get different things done around the venue, including painting and freshening up the white wall at the back of Eden Court.
“It’s just to try and make the people that are playing here enjoy it, and make it feel like a home."
