Safe, Strong and Free charity golf day set to take place in Inverness
A Highland charity dedicated to empowering and protecting young children has announced its first ever charity golf day.
Safe Strong and Free will hold its inaugural golf event at Inverness Golf Club on Friday, August 9, promising a day of enjoyable golf, camaraderie and fundraising for a vital cause.
With tee times available from 12:30pm to 2.30pm, golf enthusiasts of all skill levels are invited to participate in the event, which is sponsored by global specialists in porous membranes, Porex Filtration Group.
Registration costs £400 per four-ball team, with individual spots available for £100 per person where they can join a mixed four-balls. Interested golfers can register here: Register.
All proceeds from the event will support Safe Strong and Free’s mission to reduce the vulnerability of young children to abuse and assault.
Safe Strong and Free charity manager Kerry Lowe said: “This golf day is a wonderful opportunity to bring the community together for a fun event that supports our essential programmes.

For just £150, Safe Strong & Free can teach a class in a local school how to stay safe from bullying; educate children on how to stay safe around strangers; or provide crucial lessons on how to stay safe from inappropriate touches.

In addition to an action-packed day of golf action, local businesses and individuals are also being encouraged to donate raffle and auction prizes, and consider sponsoring a hole for the day.
With sponsorship opportunities available for just £150 per hole, a business’s brand and logo will be displayed on the course and receive recognition in all event marketing materials.
Contributions to the raffle and auction will also be prominently acknowledged – with donations already including rounds of golf at Struie, Fortrose and Inverness, as well as a luxurious bed and breakfast stay at the Kingsmills Hotel.
