Highland Boxing Academy’s Jason Russell was unlucky to miss out on another final in Serbia during the Golden Glove of Vojvodina on Saturday.

The youngster had been undefeated for over four years, winning five titles including becoming the first Inverness boxer to become British champion.

So he had been a heavy favourite going into the tournament, perhaps all the more so because he has dropped down a weight class this year from super heavyweight to heavyweight, meaning he should have had a distinct power advantage over his opponents.
