RUGBY - Highland Raptors run riot with 70 point victory in Inverness

HIGHLAND 2nd XV ran riot against Aberdeenshire as they recorded an 82-12 victory over Aberdeenshire at Canal Park last weekend.

Svend Dale Pedersen scored a hat-trick with Ross Gibson picked up two tries in a rampant day for the Raptors. The win puts them top of the Caledonia North Conference, two points clear of Mackie in second place.

In Caledonia North Two, Highland 3rd XV went down to a 40-23 defeat against Orkney at Canal Park on Saturday. The defeat means they are six points behind leaders Stornoway in the Highlands and Islands Conference.

Inverness Craig Dunain remain bottom after losing 65-29 at home to Moray 2nd XV.
