The 20-year-old has been picked by Scot Gemmill as a direct replacement for Hibernian full back Josh Doig, who has been brought up to the senior team.

Reid made his senior breakthrough with the Staggies after coming through the club's youth academy in Dingwall, making 24 appearances for the first team and impressing enough to earn a move to Coventry City in January 2021.

He has had to be patient for his chance with the Sky Blues, though, only making one appearance for the first team in the EFL Cup against Northampton while playing more regularly for the club's under-23s.

Clearly, though, he has done enough to convince Gemmill he could be a valuable asset to the national set up as Scotland prepare to face Northern Ireland on Sunday.
