The full-back lasted just four minutes as he was left holding his foot after challenging Jon Gallagher for the ball.

Curtis Main's penalty's midway through the second half gave Aberdeen the lead.

But Brad McKay's low volley gave Inverness a draw in the friendly at Elgin.

In a mediocre first half, the only two chances at goal fell to Aberdeen.

The best of those came when Main beat the offside trap to run on to a Connor Maclennan through ball.

But goalkeeper Cammy Mackay did well to stop his low drive finding the net.

Aberdeen took the lead midway through the second half when Nikolay Todorov fouled Gallagher in the box to concede the penalty and Main made no mistake from 12 yards.

But Inverness levelled nine minutes later when Tom Walsh's corner saw Jordan White head the ball towards McKay at the far post and he hit a low volley past Joe Lewis from 10 yards.

Brad Mckay scored Caley Thistle's equaliser.

Aberdeen thought they regained the lead in the closing stages when Gallagher fired a rebound into the net after MacKay blocked Dean Campbell's shot.

But the referee ruled he was offside.

Aberdeen had two chances in injury time and MacKay diverted a Andrew Considine header around the post for a corner.

Scott McKenna then beat the Inverness defence in the air to get his head on the corner kick but nodded it wide of the right hand post.
