Caley Thistle boss John Robertson says it would be ideal for the club if they could get a reserve team into the Highland League.

It is an idea that has been suggested by Robertson before, but was met with reluctance from the Highland League.

Robertson thinks that their main concern was that ICT would come in and run away with trophies, but he says that was never the thought process behind the idea.

"When I first came here the last time in 2004, there was an odd number in the Highland League.

"And what we said was that we were quite happy for our reserve team to pick up the extra fixture."
