ICT boss lambasts squad for switching off

John Robertson blasted his side for almost throwing away a three-goal lead against Alloa on Tuesday.

Caley Thistle dominated the game and had deservedly gone 3-0 up thanks to Aaron Doran, Sean Welsh and Jordan White.

But two late goals from Alloa’s Alan Trouten and Iain Flannigan threatened to curtail any celebrations.

Robertson was furious that his players once again switched off, saying: “It was probably too comfortable for 70 minutes.

“We did great for 70 minutes, we were delighted, 3-0 up and it could have been a few more.

“Then it went back to the Partick Thistle game where we switch off for 10 minutes and suddenly we’re fighting for our lives.

“It’s a nonsense. For their first goal, our midfield players didn’t track the runner."
