Pride on line after Inverness Craig Dunain title hopes dashed after Aberdeenshire withdrawal

Inverness Craig Dunain have a point to prove after their Caledonia North Four title hopes were ended by a withdrawal from the league.

That was the view of stand-off Ian Weafer, after the club dropped from third to fifth in the league table after Aberdeenshire 2nds withdrew from the division and their results were voided.

Craig Dunain have gone from having three home games to win the title, to being mathematically out of the title race.

But with the last two games coming against the sides left in contention – Ellon 2nds and Aberdeen University Medics – it is a chance to show they belong in the promotion mix.
