Former Caley Thistle and Ross County striker says players will be determined to finish season on their terms

FORMER Caley Thistle and Ross County striker Andrew Barrowman says players will want this season resumed and played to a finish.

But he says it may take several months before fans see a football kicked again due to the coronavirus pandemic.

There have been calls to finish the season early due to the uncertainty of when football can realistically start again.

Barrowman, who played for Caley Thistle from 2008 to 2010 in between two stints at Ross County, believes players will not be content with ending the season now.

However long it takes, he thinks players will want to complete the 2019/20 campaign.

“There is no rush to get back, but for me, we have to finish the season,” he said.

“I don’t think you can just null and void it as there’s too much at stake for all the teams.
