Robertson hails Caley Thistle's sensational training effort
John Robertson has praised his players for the excellent start Caley Thistle have made to the Scottish Championship season.
His team could record their fourth win in a row in the league if they can maintain their 100 per cent home record at the Caledonian Stadium.
After a 4–1 defeat at Dundee United on the opening day of the season, Inverness haven’t lost a game and have won four of their last five league matches.
If results go their way, they could go top if leaders Dundee United and second placed Ayr United, who are two points in front, both lose.
Robertson has praised Caley Thistle’s response since the hammering at Tannadice and is challenging them to keep the momentum going.
“The boys have been sensational of late in terms of training.
“We’ve been on to them steadily over the last two years about the standards we have to reach in training, and take those standards into games. It’s a difficult thing to do, but it goes back to Dundee United.
“We had a good chat about where we needed to be, what we needed to do and what we were trying to achieve.
“Players and staff had good, open and frank views in a sensible tone. We’ve adjusted one or two things and tweaked one or two things, but the players have responded magnificently.
“All the plaudits are down to them, it has been a terrific month and we want to finish it off against Partick Thistle.”
