Shinty club player of the year aiming higher with Glengarry

Rhuairaidh MacDonald believes Glengarry Shinty Club have every chance of being promoted to the National Division in 2020.

The 20-year-old half back was named as the players’ player of the year at the Invergarry club’s end of season awards held at Fort Augustus.

Glengarry were one of the main challengers for the North Division One title in 2018 when they finished third, eight points off winners Newtonmore reserves.

But the half-back believes Glengarry showed enough quality last season to make a real push towards winning the league in 2019 and gaining promotion to the second tier of shinty.
