Dave Carson does not think that there is any psychological advantage to be gained over Stewart’s Melville as a result of Highland leapfrogging them in the National Two table.

Both sides will be looking to challenge for promotion, but last week’s victory over Glasgow Academicals saw Highland move up to second in the league.

Ahead of Melville’s journey up to Canal Park tomorrow, Carson thinks that it is still too early in the campaign for that to have any effect on the match though, saying Highland have a different motivation.

“At this time in the season I don’t think so,” he explained.
