Official date of allowing fans into all stadiums delayed for three weeks but test event will allow 300 fans for Ross County v Celtic on Saturday

The Scottish Government have announced it is delaying allowing spectators back into stadiums until Monday, October 5.

But the test event between Ross County and Celtic on Saturday will still allow 300 fans into the Global Energy Stadium.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon confirmed proposals to allow fans back into stadiums from Monday has been postponed due to the rising number of Covid-19 cases in Scotland.

It means Ross County will not be allowed to give fans entry to their Premiership clash with Aberdeen on Saturday, September 26.

Caley Thistle may still be allowed fans into their first home match of the season against Cowdenbeath in the League Cup on Tuesday, October 13.

Ross County may be allowed to admit fans for the League Cup clash with Arbroath on Tuesday, October 13 if the situation improves.
