Scheduled matches in the North Caledonian League this weekend are already falling by the wayside due to a combination of severe weather and Covid-19.

Inverness Athletic had been due to host Golspie Sutherland tomorrow afternoon at Inverness Royal Academy, but that match has been called off due to positive Covid cases.

Loch Ness, meanwhile, were meant to be making the journey to Orkney, but with ferries to the island already cancelled there is no way of getting that game played.

Other matches have also been called off, as the repeat of last weekend's Football Times Cup final between winners Thurso and Halkirk United has fallen victim to a waterlogged pitch with extremely high winds forecast.
